We selected our working line German Shepherds based on proven genetically determined qualities. Their health is the first priority, which includes no Hip or Elbow Dysplasia, normal Spines, and free of Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). Equally important are their stable minds combined with pronounced levels of intelligence, natural instincts, courage, thinking ability and problem solving skills. Their strength of mind contributes to their mental stability, balanced temperaments and clear heads. They have a nice natural level of curiosity and independence coupled with strong drives, qualities that help make training and learning easier. We breed for temperaments that are described as alert, confident yet approachable, courageous but not hostile or uncontrollable, not timid or nervous. Physical attributes we strive for: straight bodies that are balanced and agile, strong and robust, well muscled with good bone structure. We take pride in being able to offer such a great example of the Working Line German Shepherd.
Their natural instincts, strong working drives and curiosity make our working line German Shepherds easy to train, eager to learn, ready to work, and explore. They have extensive training in Obedience, Tracking, Protection/Defense and Apprehension. If their protection switch is activated, once the threat has been removed and their protection switch is turned off they return to being calm and composed at work or as a family member.
The pedigrees of our working line German Shepherds contain Search & Rescue, Border Patrol, Family Companions, Protectors, Working Farm dogs, Sport, Military, Medical and Police service dogs. Their bloodlines consist of Czech, Dutch, West/East German (DDR) working lines, which are all traceable back to the original German Shepherd bloodlines from the 1890's to the present.
German Shepherd History: In Germany during the 1890's the original standards for the Working Line German Shepherd were developed in order to create a highly intelligent and versatile working farm dog for herding and protecting livestock and families. Their outstanding level of intelligence, courage, instincts, versatility, adaptability, and working drives were immediately recognized and their use and purpose quickly expanded. These earlier dogs provide the Genetic Basis for what we identify today as working line German Shepherds. Our Working Line German Shepherds ancestry can be traced back to these original bloodlines.

We enjoy having Odie as part of our family. We also have great expectations for Odie's future as a part of our breeding program once he reaches the right level of maturity mentally and physically.
Odie is an example of what the original German Shepherd working lines were intended to be. He is intelligent and has great thinking ability and problem solving skills. Due to his stable mind and balanced temperament his family feels safe and secure in his presence. Physically he is robust and strong with great bone and muscle structure. Odie displayed at a young age an impressive level of courage, confidence and resilience coupled with strong drives. His strength of mind contributes to his level of discipline, predictability and mental stability. His temperament is described as confident and courageous but approachable, not hostile, nor is he timid or nervous. He can be a serious dog if he senses a threat to his family. However, once the threat has been removed he goes back to being a calm and composed member of his family. He inherited a natural and instinctive ability to recognize the difference between a threatening and a non-threatening situation.
We are expecting his litters to produce puppies that will be highly intelligent with impressive thinking ability and problem solving skills. They will be courageous and confident and have strong working drives. Their temperaments will be alert and watchful but not hostile or nervous.
Their appearance will be strong and robust with good bone and muscle structure while remaining agile.
