Willem is in excellent health. He received some 3 years of training in preparation for the KNPV trials. He has a strong stable mind and is highly intelligent, courageous and resilient. He has a temperament that is stable and confident, not nervous or timid but approachable, not hostile or uncontrollable. Physically he has a straight body with great bone and muscle structure. His semen quality is excellent and his last litter produced 12 puppies.

Willem will make a great family, personal protection dog or addition to a top quality breeding program. His family feels safe, secure and comfortable having Willem in their presence. He was raised and trained for KNPV in a family environment.

Willem is an excellent example of the Working Line German Shepherd. His pedigree and lineage is built on high end Dutch and West German Working bloodlines. These bloodlines are considered to be the closest modern equal to the original German Shepherds of the 1890's and early 1900's. They were bred for their intelligence, courage and physicality, and to be highly versatile and adaptable as herding dogs and protectors of sheep. Due to the combination of outstanding qualities and versatility future generations of these dogs became military service dogs in World War 1 and World War 2. Throughout the generations that followed many have and are utilized to perform a variety of duties including Police, Military, Farm, Medical Service dogs and as Family Companions and Protectors.
